What can I say, he loves bath time!

Whenever I say "It's bath time!" Caleb starts saying "ba" over and over again. He gets very excited, crawls to his bathroom, and tries to climb in the tub!

"All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!"

Well, Caleb got his Christmas wish... and more! Prior to these were his 2 bottom ones in July and September. He took a long hiatus and now he's got the 3 top ones this December! In the past week and a half, two more front teeth have come in. I can see more coming through as well... also indicated by the amount of drool and frequency of his fingers in his mouth. So far teething hasn't been too bad for Caleb... we'll see with what's to come!

Santa = Stranger

It didn't go well... We even tried Santa standing behind me... but no...

Busy busy December!

Tomorrow we close on a new house so we've been busily packing the house!

But in between packing, we've had some fun as well the past 2 weeks. Caleb has really discovered windows and I will frequently find him on his tippy toes peaking out... precious!

He's also been practicing using a fork!

This past weekend my brother graduated from NCSU with his Masters!

We also celebrated Christmas while they were here! I made mom a t-shirt quilt with all my daddy's shirts she saved. I also made purses for all the girls!

Christmas Tree!

Tonight I took a break from packing and went over to my mom's house after work with Caleb. We enjoyed a delicious pot roast dinner. He liked checking out her Christmas tree. It made me more excited to get ours once we move to our new house just before Christmas! Caleb also got to open an early Christmas present from my Aunt Naomi and Uncle Jack... a Christmas board book and a Veggie Tales DVD!

Snow!

When Caleb woke up from his nap on Saturday there was enough snow on the ground to take him out to play a little; we took him back out Sunday morning before church... and he loved it! His favorite seemed to be walking in the snow, kicking it as he walked!

Thirteen Months Old (56 weeks)

I am 13 months old today!

How I Grow
•I weighed 19 pounds, 9 ounces at the pediatrician on Thursday.... that's a half pound gain this month!
•I wear size 3 diapers and 9-12/12-18 month clothes!
•One of my front teeth erupted this week!
•I can climb all the way up the stairs.
•I can walk if you just hold one of my hands now. My theme song this holiday is "All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth"... only one more to go! I've actually got 2 about to come through!

•I have stood by myself a few times!
•I can clap!

How I Communicate/Understand Language
•I will wave when someone says “bye bye" and sometimes even when I see someone leaving.
•I don't have any new words this month.
•When I give mommy hugs, I pat her back too. She thinks it's really cute!
•I clearly understand "no," "do not touch," "upstairs," and "night night" when getting ready for bed.

How I Eat/Drink and Sleep
•I take 2 naps a day and sleep about 10-11 hours a night.
•I like the whole milk much better now! Mommy doesn't have to mix it with formula or warm it anymore!
•I nurse in the morning when I wake up and before bed.
•My new foods: mandarin oranges, corn, blueberries
